Since 2017 the Emirates Airline Foundation finances part of the home’s operating expenses, as well as funded the addition of ten computers for children.

Saint Rita’s is equipped with dormitories, classrooms, a garden, dining room, library, play area and the new computer room where the Emirates Airline Foundation computers are installed.

“We are so grateful for the support to our home and our children from the Emirates Airline Foundation,” said Sister Conceicao, the home’s director. “The computers are a tremendous addition to our educational offering.”

Looking into the future, Saint Rita’s is considering plans that include new kitchen facilities, the installation of solar panels for more cost efficient electricity at the home, as well as an expanded range of activities for the children.
