Children absolutely love those cuddlies that Emirates hands to them onboard flights. They never fail to bring cheer and happiness to every little face that steps on an Emirates aircraft. Some of the toys, however, don’t make it onboard due to the fact that they have minor defects, or perhaps the airline might have changed to different ones, which it does every once in a while. So what happens to all those lovely cuddlies that don’t get to fly? The Emirates Airline Foundation steps in to distribute them to children in need.
Recently the foundation tied up with Pfizer in the UAE to distribute around 5,000 toys to disadvantaged children in the region. Pfizer colleagues got together and helped re-pack the toys into small bags, then carried them in their cars to hospitals and schools for low income families. Some colleagues have committed to sending them to Egypt, the Philippines and Syria on their own expense.
